Medical Technology, Interoperability
Technology
DICOMconnect

Project overview

APELEM has its core competence in the field of X-Ray Imaging and associated workflows. To support the indispensable DICOM interfaces with the imaging software ADAM, APELEM selected
softgate’s DICOMconnect. Since 2017, ADAM integrates with HIS/RIS and PACS systems through
Modality Worklist, MPPS, RDSR, Storage and Storage Commitment and is capable of printing high-quality hardcopies via DICOM Print. As of today, several hundred systems are installed worldwide,
including markets in Europe, the USA and Asia.

The Cooperation:

Since 2017, APELEM has been working with our team. Because we have always put great value on honest feedback and APELEM has given us insight into the user perspective, we have been able to learn a lot for the optimization of DICOMconnect.

The Company:

APELEM was founded in 1979 in France and since 1999, has been a member of the DMS Group. As of 2023, the DMS Group generated a revenue of 42,2 Million Euros, 75% of which is through the export market, working with 140 distributors world-wide.  Apelem also markets their systems through OEM partnerships that include Fujifilm, Carestream, and Canon Medical Systems Europe.

Customer feedback

„Thanks to the quality management documentation of DICOMconnect, we did not
have any issues with this component from an external supplier during our admissions in various countries. The DICOM integration works right out of the box everywhere.“

Nicolas
Coulié, X-Ray Imaging Leader at DMS/APELEM.

The integration of DICOMconnect into our ADAM software was easy and
straightforward; and if we have questions, the softgate-team always answers them the same day. We do not need to dig into the details of DICOM – it just works“

Olivier Comas
software team leader at APELEM
